I have been watching the Cowboys since 1965. Tom Landry was the Coach, and the owners allowed him to do their job. Since jerry took over the (Johnson's tenure aside) the 'Boys have been mediocre. Closest they came to being winners was under Parcells. jones is a showman, not a coach.

I have been a proud Dallas Cowboy fan since I was twelve. I'm sixty now. I remember Chuch Howley, Rayfied Wright, Bob Hayes, Dan Reeves, Roger Staubach, etc. This, depite the fact that I live in Maryland.The past fifteen years have been very painful. My wife brought me some Dallas gear. When I wear it, I become the object of ridicule by Raven and Pittsburg fans in the area. It is terrible to see what a once great team and organization have become. Mr. Jones, please do what the owners of the Ravens and Steelers have done and hire a gm who is experienced and competent. I am certain you are not deliberately tring to destroy the organization but rather in over your head. It takes a real man to admit that and do something different rather doing the same thing year after year while expecting a different result. It takes teamwork to make the dream work. You have become a one man team and one man wrecking crew by continuing to try to run the Cowboys organization as if it were a mom and pop operation. Please, please hire a legitimate gm immediately

Jerry doesn't realize that this is Football and not Baseball. Football is a much more team oriented sport. Steinbrenner was able to micro-manage the Yankees because the inter-dependencies of the players isn't as necessary and without a real salary cap he could do what he wanted. The Cowboys are going nowhere until Jerry realizes that; but there's a better chance that the Sun will stop shining before that happens. As long as the egotistical, maniacal emperor that is Jerry Jones is the owner, we will always have our hopes destroyed.
