It is really sad that men in that position could not be better role models. There is no telling how many super bowls that group of Cowboys could have won. We will never know. I have been a Cowboy fan since the Ice Bowl. The Cowboys will never play in another Super Bowl much less win one until JJ steps aside. He needs to let people with football knowledge run the team. JJ needs to stick to the business side of football. That is what he is good at.

I personally agree 110%. I have been a cowboy fan since 77'. I know that is what happened, and Jones is still to proud to admit that. Jones should step off the pedestal he has put himself on. Those were great teams and great players, Jones will never have that again as long as he is involved.

Very good post. This truly is sad he felt life was no longer worth living. We usually associate persons that commit suicide as ones that had something tragic happen to them. He was not in financial ruin and had his wife & kids and good physical health. I cant imagine how his wife and children must feel. My heart goes out to them.

BTW, I so liked your article, Im going to share it on our DallasCowboyFansUnited debate forum. I'll add your name/URL link and name of your blog in return. Keep up the good posting and stop by and debate with us @ DCFU when you get a chance. Goooo Cowboys!! :-)

DeCastro looks like a good bet. Hoping Barron makes it to the Cowboys pick, but you may be right. There is shuffling about.

Looking more like Barron will be gone before our pick. I am beginning to lean to DeCastro. Along with the players we signed would give us a younger and deeper O-Line for years to come. However, I would go heavy defense the rest of the way. Our defense will be much improved if we can balance this offense with a strong running game and keep them off the field less which is also better for Romo.

Most folks don't realize that when Jerry was a kid...most people lost their minds (including Jerry) playing "mumbledee peg." Yeah. They'd lose their mind...forget to play mumbledee peg and get their mind back. Jerry the GM (general mumbledeepeg) stills plays MP morning ...noon and night! It has also been said that...Pride goeth before the fall. But in this case...Jerry's always looking over STUPIDITY'S shoulder!

All those comments and recommendations were good, but alot of those position have alright been field in free agency. I need to draft at #14 Dontari Poe (Memphis). Did you see his combine numbers especially his bench press. He is the truth. He reminds me of Tampa Bay Bucs old linemen, Warren Sapp.
