I actually could not care less what Ward has done in his career. He did it for the Steelers; therefore, I do not care. That admitted, I merely used Ward's moronic outburst as a REMINDER.

Actually, it's my hatred for a GM that doesn't draft receivers and instead trades premium picks for talented but overrated players. Maybe your love for orange colors your opinion? Hines Ward's blocking highlight reel would probably last a 10-1 ratio in length of time to Roy's total highlight reel including college. By the way, Hines has 866 receptions, 10,625 yards, 77 yards, and a Super Bowl MVP. Not bad for a "blocker".

Sure, Rob. But as you know, one can spend a lifetime building something and then tear it down in a minute. It was utterly stupid what Ward did. Besides, this wasn't so much comparing Ward and Owens as using the incident as a reminder of WHY Cowboys fans should be glad Owens is gone.

And if you just want Ward to block, I believe Roy Williams has done that quite well since being here. Williams sure isn't what we hoped he would be, but your your hatred of Burnt Orange colors your opinion of all things associated with the Longhorns, so I am taking it with a grain of salt

Hmm. I don't know about this comparison. Hines Ward has been part of 2 Super Bowl winners, is the best blocking receiver in the game, and is generally regarded as a team player and has been his whole career. It was more of a singular lapse in judgment than an existing pattern. I think Ward's body of work earns him a little benefit of the doubt on this one. Regardless, I would love Hines Ward playing opposite of Miles Austin especially over that coward wearing #11. IMHO : ) Having said that, I was shocked with Ward's comment and disagreed with him.
