“I did it naturally,” Allen said. “All right. What’s funny is once I benched 700 pounds, they tested me twice a week for the rest of my career.”
Allen was seldom heard from during his playing career. He was quiet and unassuming, but ferocious on the field. John Madden was famously infatuated with the 325-pounder, often calling him the best offensive player in the league.

Bill Parcells is among the most successful and influential coaches in NFL history. Parcells made the New York Giants world champions. He made the New England Patriots and New York Jets contenders. And he made the woeful Dallas Cowboys relevant again.

He could also teach. The Parcells coaching tree is among the most impressive in history, including names like Bill Belichick, Tom Coughlin, and Sean Payton. Parcells, Belichick, Coughlin, and Payton have combined to win eight Super Bowls.
The list does not stop with those guys, of course. Fox Sports put together this fine graphic to illustrate the vast influence Parcells has had on some of today’s best and most notorious coaches:
Parcells joined Larry Allen as a 2013 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee.
